aortic isnt it? going from the aorta, retrograde into the ventricle, it would first cross the aortic valve....

Right,

I messed up 'apex' with 'atrium' for a second and I had the doubt but definitively to reach Apex it should cross "Aortic Semilunar Valve" final answer.

Guys can you please explain how the catheter enters the left side of the heart from the right????

  #6

once they insert the catheter they push it towards the heart until it reaches the Ao > left ventricle, it's against the circulation's direction, with the graphic is better.

HEY MKS THE CATHETER IS INSERTED IN THE ARTERIAL SIDE OF THE CIRCULATION...SO IF ITS PUSHED AGAINST THE FLOW IT WUD REACH THE LV NOT RV...HENCE IT HAS TO CROSS THE AORTIC VALVE TO REACH THE APEX WHICH IS BASICALLY THE LV
