i agree, traveling 20 hours by bus is very draining. In med school, I had to do 6-7 hour ones sometimes and that itself was just plain exhausting. You want to be fresh in your interview. Actually I just looked at orbitz, and they have a one way flight from ny to md for 39 with tax it'll be 52 non stop, so it's comparable with a greyhound ticket. i'm thinking about that as well. actually i bought alot of one way tickets this time, because it's cheaper then multicity tickets.

Hey guys, Just a suggestion - when you look up tickets on orbitz they are generally more expensive than if you buy them from the airline itself. So, you should use Orbitz to look up which airlines are the cheapest and then buy the tickets from the airline's website. It'll save you anywhere from 5-10$ per ticket, which can add up pretty quickly when you are flying for interviews. Good luck!

cheap tickets is also pretty good, and check the fare deals on the websites of the airliners, I asked about the interview discount and apparently it was a different age when there were no budget cuts that it was available.
