is it important to register for the exam 6 months before the exam i mean like if i want to take the exam in the period of april may june the dealine is feb 28
so if teh deadline is feb 28 y ppl say tat we shoul;d get registered 6 months before time wats the idea behind it
plzz tell me im on my first read now so how should i do it i want to give my exam in april may and june

No, you do not have to register 6 month before exam. It is ONLY if you register for the exam more than 6 month b4 your eligibility period starts, ECFMG will send you orange permit not earlier than 6 month b4 your eligibility period. But I think there is deadline date b4 which you have to register if you want a certain eligibility period. Not sure what it is(I think, it is 1 month or so). You have to read the ECFMG bulletin-it has all the details.

aonty, the deadline thy giv ie:feb28 in ur case.... it the date by wch the latest u shud hav sent all ur application n stuff. once u get ur orange card/ permit, then u can choose ur date within the period (u hav opted for) subject to availlibility.this is the procedure.
the reason u r asked to send in ur application asap, coz if u snd ur applctn late, then u get ur permit late....by then a lot of dates are already booked at ur selected center by the early birds.. so u wont hav many dates to choose from according to ur liking.. also make sure u choose the period such that the month u r planning to giv the exam... say eg: april... then the 1st month of the period shud be april.. ie: apr-may-jun... it helps...incase some problm come up n u wud want to delay the exam.. u will still hav 2 months to play with..
these r just some adv ppl follow whn filling the applcn ... hope it helps u.. anything else , dnt hesitate... ask..
