Can someone explain what is LFA-1 and what we have to know about in easy way????

  #2

LFA--leucocyte function associated antigen-1

Source of LFA-1 (CD11/CD18) is LEUKOCYTES...

LFA-1 are adhesion molecules..bind neutrophils, monocytes and lymphocytes to VASCULAR ENDOTHELIUM with help of (via ICAM .)

ICAM ,VCAM are also adhesion molecules ,their source is ENDOTHELIAL cells.

i just wanted to add that it is an INTEGRIN (a class of adhesion molecules) that binds I-CAM-1,2,3

do not mix it with LFA-3 that is a CAM itself (an Ig CAM)!!
