another question...do they ask med questions in interview? i heard programs in ny do...thats funny...after usmle 1, 2 n cs we still need to prove ourselves? in the latest post i read some programs take a mcq test as well...whoa! So do i have to read up b4 i go? any experiences?

hi!
I interviewed at methodist this month n thot wd share the experince .we attended morn report.2 interviews wid facuklty,tour,lunch n talk with chairman in last.faculty asked medical questions but not v extensive.it looked like a good comm program.nothing outstanding but no major drawbacks also.the neighborhood is nice n safe.the pgy1 staff looked tired tho n im not surprised its a busy place n every 4th nite u r on 24 hr call n floor months are 9 full months.they have 2 spots in each felloswship (most sub speciality but not all).not sure abt visa .everyone who intviewed wid me that day had some visa/immigration.they do offer prematch.they r v open abt it n say they fill most positions by prematch.its 100%img program.I hope this info is helpful even tho i guess i havent added much to son 64 's review.good luck.

well actually they did.but then they offered it to 3-4 ppl same day n said i shd get back to them if im lookin for a prematch cuz they will send only few seats to match.I havent written to them yet...have some more interviews left so kind of confused.Are u lookin for prematch in NY? its good if u r cuz they will def offer u one...ur credentials r excellent.so good luck girl.
