Hi !! Ssandhu112

Thanks a lot for the info., from ur experience will u plz tell me what I should prepare for interview ? are the other 2 interviews general questions? for the one on med questions what type of cases are considered , how much preparation is required ?

Many say that the financial status of the program is in doubt , do u have any info regarding that ?

Plz help me ....

Thanks a lot .

Hi Ssandhu112,

I have one more question did u go thru. any kind of brochure for information regarding the program before ur interview?if anything is available plz let meknow .

Thanks.

ya they give ua detailed brochure when u reach there.....pay,duty hrs everything s mentioned there.than the pd talk to u,u can ask her any ques.than interviews start.......no the other 2 just ask general q s only.med q are simple,no prep needed.like i got chest pain case, otherwise she ll tell u to discuss some interesting case u saw and diagnosed in the school.i dont know how many interviews u had attended b 4 this one...normally other 2 ask only general ques everybody asks.

ya there r some financial problems but not that bad.anyways,no of community programs in ny are also goin thru such problems.otherwise its a v busy hospital and the work schedule is not so taxing,no scutwork to be done.

but if at all a program one gets into closes due to financial problems, u ll be adjusted in to some another, they ll not just discard u.good luck to u.any other q s

hey ssandhu, I grew up in maryland and my family still lives there. you shouldn't tell him/her to ignore the area being called bad, because it's NOT the safest neighborhood. But that shouldn't be a deterrent to someone doing a residency there. Many hospitals are located in areas called dangerous. Ex, Duke, Johns Hopkins, etc. But you should be forewarned that it isn't a neighborhood you should walk around alone in at night.

ya sure dia huq.ya i heard it used to be bad some time back but now it has become relatively safe.actually when i went to the interview ,most of the residents were ignorant if its a bad area as they havent had any problems whatsoever.hospital is v safe and the residents normally live at college park about 10 miles away which is v safe..actually the hospital is located atop the hill.so there r no houses around the hospital.actually i was pleasently surprised when i went there as i also had the same notions that it was a v bad area so were the other interviewes.actually i live 30 miles from there.anyways,usmle04 can find out when he go to the hospital for the interviewinterview
