Hi friends, lets start the CCS cases.all suggestions are welcomed for this case. 28 year old female was found unconscious in her room by her classmate. there was no sucide note and no bottles around.she was brought to ER by her classmate. She had some kind of psychiatric problem, for which she was taking prescribed medication. How do you proceed with this case. I will go for A, b, C first. check airway, suction it if you see any secretions. check o2 saturation by pulseoximetry. start oxygen.Observe the respiration, if you see pt is gasping, intubate her. then start IV access and normal saline. After this I will try to put all the monitors, BP monitor, cardiac monitor. do finger stick glucose and ABG. Now comes the medication; Thiamine 1 dose Dextrose 50% bolus Naloxone IV bolus If the patient still remains unconscious , what to do? please help me with this. ABG showed Metabolic acidosis. and i intubated the patient.
