What is best/sufficient? Have someone read both and can compare? I found some stuff(quite a bit!) in BRS that Dr.Goljan's Rapid Review does not have. I have read the Rapid Review. Now I am not sure whether to give RR another read or read BRS instead... Please, advise....Im really confused....want to make sure I do the right thing...

Hey, guys, please share your thoughts... Is there anyone who has read or plans to read both books? Or everybody is going with Dr Goljan's book/notes. I am personally his fan. But BRS book does have some extra material. Do you think if I only go with Goljan, it's enough? Are there many who read his Rapid Review? Or his 550ps notes?

I have Goljan's Patho notes too, which are exactly 490ps-. Unfortunately, there's no year written on them? I wish I knew too. But I think, it might be 2002... not sure But, aonty, did you read his Rapid Review Pathology book? It's pretty good, because his lectures are following this book very precisely. Have you seen it? Or you are studying from his patho notes only? And plan to do BRS too? Well, I am also concerned whether that Rapid Review is enough or I should also read the Notes? Yes, it's complicated enough.... just want to concentrate on one source, I think it's important not to loose energy and time by doing many things and none of them perfect...

Ok guys...sorry to add to the confusion but I am in the same boat as you all....still trying to make up my mind here.... But I think I definitely have made up my mind about BRS...doesn't work for me... as I feel its not clinically oriented enuff and nor does it delve into the pathophys like Goljan does. Well, I was wondering if you guys have heard anything about the Pathology Flash cards listed below????????....looks like these cards have some amazing reviews on Amazon from those who have taken the exam . ......well any help with these would be much appreciated!Thankss!! Pathology: 296 cards for course review and USMLE preparation (Lange Flash Cards) (Cards) by Suzanne J. Baron, Christoph Lee http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0071436901/ref=c...

i have read the BRS page tp page and i think golajnis better then BRS. im using his audio leacures along with the rapid review plus his 100 pages HY notes ....... b/c if u listen to his lectures he is referin to alot to his HY notes ........ i found goljan better b/c he gives very good integration with other subects also, and for a person like me with hardly any time to give to my books & with a 13 month old son and a house to look after its really helpin me. Doc2378 i have the pharmcards (flash cards) and theyr good , personaly i think that path is such a big part of this exam , i would not got for the path flash cards, buy hye if it helps u then thats wounderful.

Feras, if you feel you're getting general patho from BRS better than from Goljan, than do BRS. Study from the book which gives you better understanding. Doc, I do not have those card. But-if you have time & motivation, of course they would be only of benefit to you. But I would still stick to Goljan as primary source.
