* Bartter's syndrome
. without edema or hypertension
. hypokalemic alkalosis (+)
. moderate to marked increases in renin
. Renal biopsy : juxtaglomerular hyperplasia
. pathogenesis :
- defect in the renal conservation of sodium
- chloride and/or an increased production of prostaglandins
