Can anybody explain 46, 2n --> 46, 4n ---> 23, 2n ---> 23, 1n ?? What is 46? What is 2n? please explain...thanks....

I think those are changes that take place during meiosis. 46 means the number of chromosomes. 2n usually describes the number of DNA in chromosomes. For better understanding I would suggest once again to have a quick look at meiosic divisions.
