hi i have a ques for almost all i have got an oppurtunity to assist for one month an ongoing blood related research at the american red cross.....i am told that this oppurtunity is available only to pathology fellowship students of the calibre of good univ like UCLA....and will be assisting the Scientific Director of whole southern california, american red cross blood services. But my problem is....i am told that i wont be allowed to do much.....and just can observe the fellowship students....and other researchers at the lab. SO CAN THIS BE OF ANY HELP TO ME IN BUILDING MY RESUME???? ALSO WHEN I REQUEST A LOR FROM MY DOC......SHOULD I REQUEST HIM TO WRITE IN IT...A RESEARCH EXPERIENCE???.....OR CAN IT BE ALSO CALLED AS OBSERVERSHIP???? PLZZZZZ REPLY...I AM REALLY CONFUSED!!!!

I'd say take it unless you have a better offer in hand or expecting one......anything's better than nothing and this would be a welcome addition to your CV...no doubt GL Friend!

I think it falls more under 'research experience' since you won't be observing patient care per se, but that's just my opinion...you'll definitely have a better idea where to put it after you have finished the rotation... GL!
