Hi, New and wondering where to start: There seem to be a billion books and other sources to study from. Just one single source would be so nice. Will the 'Kaplan Medical USMLE Step 1 Home Study Program' do as a single source to study from? Or will I miserably fail? any info appreciated, thx, drdolly

In my opinion it's good but not enough.NMS question books are very helpful.Because after reviewing the lessons, studying questions would help your progress.Good luck!

Thanks for the info, Filiz! I've seen some of the sample question in Kaplan's Qbank, they indeed seem rather useful. It seems like you're saying Kaplan HomeStudy would suffice as review material. Have you used it yourself? Taken the exam already? drdolly

I studied video lectures and kaplan books plus NMS Q's and I took step1 2 weeks ago.Kaplan home study programme is similar, but the fact is that studying lots of Q's is really helpfull. So I can recommend you kaplan Qbank too.I used it .Good luck!
