by what time shud we ideally have step 3 scores...is it the ROL deadline or the match day ?
any clues?
does the step 3 result have any bearing on the ranking of the candidate by the program?

1> depends from programme to programme, some programmes have deadlines like u shud have step-3 results by dec-31 etc...
2> some programmes might rank u higher if u pass step-3 again it depends on programme.
it is safe to have step-3 results in hand b4 the ROL day ends.

Hai guys,
If visa is an issue for you, you must have a step 3 pass before they interview you. This is best. I you dont need a visa, step 3 is not of much use to you. It will hardly be an issue in your selection. I have personally asked this to a program director during an interview.
