Brigham and womens - scores in 90th pecentile, documented USCE, no visa offer last year. This info are not taken directly from program.

i don't want to discourage you but take a look to this site http://www.usnews.com/usnews/health/best-hospital...

it is nearly imposible to go in one of those as an IMG who need a visa. You should have an outstanding package to earn an invitation and after that be in the best form of your life at the interview date and maybe... . only if you have no illusion you will have no disillusion.

i applied to Hopkins but only as a curiosity, it worth - they refused me in the best and polite way amoung all rejections smiling face. i can say that they encourage me( i think to send them greetings on Thanksgiving Day)

Example of rejection from JHU-OB/GYN

Dear Applicant:
Thank you very much for your interest in The Johns Hopkins University
Gynecology and Obstetrics residency program.

We have reviewed your application material and regret that we will not
be able to offer you an interview for our program. We had a dramatic increase
in applications this year for a very limited number of interview spots.

We wish you all the best for the 2006 Match.

Sincerely,
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Residency Program in Gynecology and Obstetrics

Dear Intern Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Osler Medicine Residency Training Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Given the large number of applicants who apply to our program, it is not possible for us to interview everyone.

The Intern Selection Committee has carefully reviewed your application. Based on this information, regretfully, it is not possible for us to offer you an interview.

We want to emphasize that from the information we have received, it is clear that many people think very highly of your capabilities and potential, and we sincerely trust that our decision will not discourage you in your pursuit of a career in Internal Medicine. We wish you every success in this endeavor.

Sincerely,

Scott Walker
Residency Program Administrator

hmm thats better...anyway ...what matters is a call letter, however badly written that might be smiling face
rather than a fancy rejection letter
