Glad that i served as an inspiration to you.
remember this... you can't attain your goal once you quit. Take all the opportunity tht you can in studying again. Start now... gather your books & notes & start studying again. Don't feel sorry for yourself. you have one motivation with you right now.. your child. Do this for him/her
future. Don't let a day pass without studying no matter what. It's hard but we got to do it!
Studying is a part of us...doctors..whether you like it or not.
What are your sources? Do you have Kaplan books & notes, Goljan etc...

Hi kerochi, Thank you for the reply.My sources were Kaplan center prep ,Kaplan q bank, Goljan Path and HY"s, FA last wk, since I thought kaplan was enough .I tries all sources like web path ,usmle/complex site for genetics and mol biology.
Now I' don't what to do differently, did you take the kaplan q bank sec time too or better to try other source of q bank?I'm starting with my kaplan notes again but still wondering any other different souces would be helpful.
Appreciate your input.

KEROCHI, Congratulations on your score. I think you really deserve it.
I have a questions what is the FA and the NBME? I have heard a lot of it, but I still don't know what's that. Maybe because I'm new in all of this, but I would appreciate your info.

FA-First Aid
NBME- tests your weak points & gauges if your ready for the exam. Form 1,2,3 set of 46 or 50 q's. You can check the website www.nbme.org

KEROCHI, Congratulations!
What a miracle life! When I read your story I can tell you are a strong lady and good mother! I am an img and had failed 2 times (2nd one was just 6 wks ago). I am going to give 3rd try. I have q for you: How long did you study for your 3rd attempt? Did you go through the notes again or just pick your weak area? since I did a lots of reviews, I guess my problem is not having done enough qs. So this time I try to work on that . Do you think this is right way to approch? Any comments would be appreciated.

I read Kaplan notes all over again in my 3rd attempt. But this time I joined this forum actively w/ my sis suggestions. It helped me a lot. i got a horrible anxiety & this forum's support helped me a lot too. Also I did Goljan audio, lots of questions ( Kaplan Qbank again), qbook, Tommy's HY, & q's fr the forum per subject. I can't remember how many times I did FA but I memorized it soo hard.

hey KEROCHI!!!
I never read your posting, but I read it 2day, and it is REALLY IMPRESSIVE. I don't know how to give regards to you, you are simply the best. You have shown every one, not to give up and keep on hard work.
I don't know what happened to me, my score has been reported, this was my 2nd time and I was confident this time, unlike 1st time, I got 71, which was higher then that I was expecting. Now I got 410 in NBME and pretty much sure to get the passing score, but now after showing that my score has been reported, it is accepting my step 1 application again. I don't know what went wrong, where was my deficencies.

goljanfan, I started the tommy's HY from the very beginning.. it's an easy read meaning I use it when I'm waiting to p/u my kids, waiting inline at the grocery store, at the restaurants etc..In other words it's something that you can read easily. I usually marked the papers ( I downloaded it at valuemd.com) & reread it. BUT it kind of distracted me a bit fr my Kaplan books bec it feels like a break for me. I didn't want to read hard books so I opted for this. If you're in your last month of preparation I suggest for you not to read it instead revise your main notes.
