"Oh my God!" was my 1st reaction.. I truly can't believe it! Right after my exam I thought it was the toughest of all! It was indeed coz most of my q's were from Immunology, genetics , Biochemistry. NBME freaked me out really maybe about 2 mos. before my exam. Those mentioned subjects were the lowest in my score interpretation. What I did was I studied HY Immuno , went back to my Kaplan notes, notes here & there from Tommy's HY notes also. I thought everything will be fine, keep telling that to myself but almost at the end of my review I was sooo anxious, nervous, all the negative thoughts you could ever imagine! Well enough w/ the negativeness I am soo thankful to HIM up above for the courage & continued blessings in my life. It was a tough road! Here are my study resources! 1. prep4usmle discussions & friends advices in this forum 2. Kaplan books, notes, DVD's Qbook, Qbank. I finished all the DVD's but ran out of time in reading the books so that's not good. Not sure how you can do it but if you'll have 3 mos. only then these sources alone won't be enough for that length of time. 3. Microbio- added MMRS 4. Biochem- plus Lippincott's & Pretest 5. Patho- plus Goljan, I did not finish his lecture but read all the notes!,pretest 6. Pharma lus FA 7. Speaking about FA I memorized this book til my head hurts.. 8.Behavioral Sc= my strongest subject 9.Anatomy, Embryo,Histo- Kaplan, FA & HY Neuroana What else?''' Hmmm I read FA 4x , Sorry guys if I am missing out things.. my heart is soo happy so pardon me I am trying to collect all the things for those who are still going to tackle this exam.Just ask later.. In my test I urge you big time to read your second messengers, introns & exons, personality disorders, bulimia vs Anorexia, drugs MOA & a.e. These might not be new to you bec it's been mentioned sooo many times by prev. examinees so don't miss these topics. The biggest mistake in my almost 8 mos. of review is that towards the end I freaked out! I did not believe in myself bec. of the scores I was getting from my MCQ's but let me tell you this.. If you are getting low scores do not panic >>>>I REPEAT!!!! DO NOT PANIC!! Why? Because you are also reading all the explanations from all the q's you got wrong! So let's say in 5 questions you got all those wrong but when you read the explanations you'll have 25-30 new infos already * if you still didn't understand the explanations then that's the time to consult your books/references. Above all use this site actively bec all the infos are very impt. Come on you all this is a site where people had same experience when it comes to studying. I said this is a miracle life ! & I said it again. I am an old grad,a very busy family Mom & this was my 3rd attempt. The very first atempt was 6 yrs ago. I gave up for some time there bec I have 2 young kids back then plus my husband was having his residency. My sister who has 2 kids also was the one who's been encouraging me to take the test againShe'll be starting her residency soon . Somewhere along the way something terrible happened! My son was diagnosed w/ Leukemia!!! My world collapsed I did not do what to do but pray... pray& He gave us a second chance my wonderful son has been in remission for almost three yrs now. When I found this site it was a big comfort for me.. I have expressed my opinions against those whose life will be over just bec. they have not passed the test or worse of all It makes me mad if they are sooo frustrated if they have not gotten 99. Guys.. things will be a lot better if we pray. Take my word Someone UP THERE is watching over us. He knows what would be the best for us. My passing may not be the best thing of all but once again PRAYERS has been so powerful. May all of you take time to pray during your looong hours of study! Best of luck to all & I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You will all succeed w/ hard work, patience & perseverance. Us people from the other side of America has it's own wonderful story, we are all blessed to have this career not only for us & for our families but also for other people irregardless of race. Best of luck to all!!

Thanks everyone for your support!! and warm wishes! How are you ssrpk? I'm sure you're studying step 2 now & way ahead..GL to you too. Very best wishes to drsnq, bluecatback, maylea, usmlebaby & duffyduck! My score has arrived!. it may not be 99 but it feels like it. It's 201/80. My Qbank score was 56%. NBME that freaked me out after 6 mos of reading was 380,2 mos before my exam. I extended my eligibility here. Did NBME 2 , 2wks before the exam.. increased to 430. I was soo desperate in passing, I even opted just for 75 to get it over with. I didn't care anymore. Just pass & it's okay. I want to do Family Practice & dreamt of Pediatrics(still ddreaming). As of now I am busy w/ Step 2 review, crazily sticking notes in my forehead just to remember stuff. If I get more than 85 or 85 in step2 then I'll go to Pediatrics.Pls. help me GOD. I also did the CD from MLE, 150Q's.. I can't remember how I scored on that but I remember I got 2 q's from therein my exam.. exactly the same q. Luckily I passed the exam knowing that most of my q's were the ones I worked hard on bec of my low score. So revisions in Immuno, Genetics & Biochem helped. I had 2 EKG's, 2 brainstem drawings, pharma drug adverse effects( i.E. Promethazine,Prednisone..) Primary Hyperthyroidism, calcium metabolism for Physio. Just Read... read.. read & do q's & FA at the end . I took my exam in San Francisco & my drive was great early in the morning. Did not have any anxiety(surprisingly on the day of exam) & my husband said to bring RED BULL or any energy drink. The test site has a cafeteria & had a fridge full of RED BULL.It helped me stay awake for 2 blocks. Well that's it folks. Good luck to you all. BTW, don't get me wrong, my 8 months of review was not continuous , How can I w/ 2 kids? But I was just lucky bec after I drop them off to school everyday then I am free for about 4 hours ... At night I study for another 3-4 hrs. If you have any question about the subjects, ask ssrpk> thanks folks...
