okay its only 751 am and i will be leaving for my test at 1015 and was told to arrive by the center at 1215 for a 1 pm test ( although over the phone i was told to only be there 30 min b4..)
i will let you guys know what i feel during and after it because i know how helpful this forum community can be -- and thanks to all of you that have posted useful info in the past.
to anyone else whose test is coming close -- the worst thing you can do is be nervous -- sooooo many people take this test, not just you.. no one can ask you to do more than your best, even if you fail.. its not the end of the world.. i never get nervous for tests but i started to feel it a feww days ago.. its all in the way you think abt it -- it isnt the end of the world -- be confident that even if you dont know the answer you can make educated choices -- and just do your best -- thats all you can do -- GOOD LUCK to all of you and thank you for all your posts..

hey guys -- i have to say i feel a little relieved now i just have to wait for scores... -- i didnt think i could handle such a loong test some point in the middle there -- but i made it
well i had alot of micro and pharm -- genetic diseases - pharm was mostly blood pressure drugs.. one question on ddI (aids drug) causing pancreatitis as a side effect.. some questions on acetylcholine and organophosphate poisoning and treatment -- acanthosis nigricans - lose patellar reflex wen? knee doesnt extend b/c quads -- schizophrenia, hardy weinburg equation -- calc blood flow = co by o2 consumption / pv o2 - pa 02, erysipelas ans sle picture of butterfly rash -- few qs on type one and two error -- know what they mean exactly and power --and what happends to sennsitivity specificitt wen incid or prevalence or early dx change -- absence seizure tx with ethosuximide, and narcolepy sx of cataplexy -- turner syndrome few questions -- a 46xx down syndrome case which was robertsonian translocation -- what does pcr require -- restriction -- entamoeba and giadia -- how to tx vibrio cholera -- why p. vivax cant be killed with chloroquine alone -- b/c of the liver version that persists.. lot of nutrition -- eg vitamin and mineral deficiencies -- especially b vitamins -- stds -- chlamydia, gonhorrea, hpv, ethics and written wills -- hyperparthyroid and hyperaldosterone effects -- vit d gets stuch at what form if chronic kidney failure -- hi altitude and ph questions, calculate -- c02 and o2 change based on doubling or quadrupling ventilation, some questions on prader willi and angelman syndrome -- and niacin deficiency, suppression vs repression, avoidant personality, which area you hear certain murmurs the best -- how to characterize murmurs -- eg crescendo decrescendo, systolic or diastolic -- just know murmurs -- had 3 - 5 of those -- and where they radiate -- foramens and what goes thru lesser sciatic foramen -- aca occlusion -- acromegaly causin a bitemporal hemianopia, know diff btwn all hemaphrodites -- menstrual cycle whats incread wen -- child with gangrene -- needs surgery to save life but parents oopose but since not an emergency get court order to save her life and do surgery --- myasthenia - and graves -- mechanism of how they occur -- not much biochem enzymes etc -- i was surprised -- one q on an increase in 2, 6 biphospahte what will it do ? it will increase glcolysis by stim pfk 1 -- pic of fat enz necrosis on pancreas -- neonate with distended abdomen -- wasnt sure what the right answ was -- adynamic ileus - creutzfeld jakob disease --histplasma -- sorbitol causing cataracts -- lesch nyhan -- lot of anemia and mcv and thalessemia -- goljan teaches this well! i will write more if i think of more -- and good luck to all those studying!

hey -- i used all of kaplans books and did their videos.. i also listened to goljan path lectures on cd and had his book ( and read only the high yield portion since these were from old tests) but his lectures are abt 35 hrs and very useful in helping you understand concepts and all areas not just path.. then of course first aid all thru out while i studied and at the very end just looked at graphs charts pictures and wrote index cards of impt graphs, charts concepts equations -- anything really and that was very helpful and made me feel good abt not spending too much time in any one area near the end -- brs physio and biochem were very good too -- the rest not soo much -- good luck -- wish you the best!! i hope i did ok too -- i will keep posted

Thanks for the great info. I wish you best of luck on your scores. Keep us posted. Your questions seem very familiar to what I got when I took the test on Nov-10-03, but I failed, so need some advise to retake it, my score was 170, so still some hope.
