I am an IMG from India. I have 93 & 95 in steps 1 & 2 and got a few interviews now . But my CV shows a gap of 3 years , after marriage I came to the US and at that time my college was not recognised by the Medical Council of India so I was not eligible for the steps and then I had a baby so my question is if asked during the interview should I honestly tell these reasons for the gap & will that give a negative impression. Plz give me ur opinion on this . Thanks !!

honesty is the best policy, not only this, what if they find out during your second or third year that u had lied!!! Chances r that they will terminate your contract and kick u out. Sorry for the strong launguage, but it happened to someone known to me,i don't want u to suffer from the same for the sake of this,so tell the truth. meanwhile u have good scores why dont u do some externships and get us letter of recommendations it will improve your chances many folds.
