Hi guys!
I just got the results from Step 1 and I passed it. I passed Step 2 CK last year. Now I know I'm asking for almost the impossible, but can I take Step 2 CS AFTER I sign up for the coming Match? If no, is there any chance that I could sign up for Step 2 CS, prepare the exam, and pass the exam BEFORE end of coming December? Because my understanding is that, if you take the exam before Dec 31st, then you would be eligible to participate in the Match of 2006!
Or, a different question would be if I have any chance to get a residency through or outside the Match the coming year?

I think it is possible. The only problem may to get a date for cs before dec31st. If thats availlable i am sure that you can take part in the match. You dont need cs for application or for interview or even for taking a prematch. If you need visa, you may have to clear step 3 too before the match.
