look for secondary causes of HTN (renovascular, pheocromo, thyroid, aortic coarctation, Conn, etc.) with CxHx and some lab tests (maybe a urine toxicology, too) Meanwhile, control her HTN with medications. any other thing?

would you consider nape pain HTN urgency or HTN emergency?

hi there, I think the pt has moderate Hypertension, its not a emergency. Investigate the causes of hypertension. Its not hypertensive urgency or emergency.

i will recheck for hypertension at a later date. Meanwhile maybe lifestyle modification. ???

good points. You can confirm the Dx first, with other BP check up. I thought she was diagnosed, but the case doesn´t specify this.
