Hi,
I've applied for some community programs , that are willing to issue H1B visa , but stating clearly that they are under CAP. How can I find information as regarding to wether this cap been reached for this year or about to be reached till March, April...

usually cap is filled within first week the day it opens,most of it goes to techies from India.
If cap is filled then other option would be opt for J1,i think if hospital really likes u they can still sponsor H1B,i may be wrong but most hospitals donot come under H1B Cap.(some do!!!)

not for profit hospitals do not come under the H 1 B visa cap.most of them are not for profit.

how do we know whether a hospital comes under the H 1 visa cap?

CAP IS FILLED FOR THIS YR - DEFINATE NEWS - i had a email from a pd saying the same and also got it confirmed at official websites and asked a coupla immig lawyers too..
so dont apply or interview at hospitals which are for profit and fall under cap. or u cud iview and ask for a prematch position for next yr match and apply for h1 when the next yr quotas open. a senior of mine did it in couple match with his wife at uni buffalo and waited a yr so that both of them cud start residency together... but then both were md med from india...
