this point was on my mind too.....i applied to emory mid sept ,got a application recd mail and then nothing.....
meanwhile on scutwork.com,i see that many amg s have calls from there.
njccmd,how do you know for a fact that this is the time of the year?
i really do hope it is 
good luck to all who have not yet gotten a reject from there....

well around mid october, some of us got e-mail from emory:
Message Due to the overwhelming number of phone calls we are receiving from applicants calling to check the status of their applications-this email is being sent to prevent futher calls.
If you are receiving this email-we have received your application via ERAS.
Invitations to interview for Foreign Medical Graduates will not be emailed until the deadline is passed, which is November 1, 2005. Once all applications are received, they will be reviewed and those selected to interview will be contacted via email and those not chosen will also be notified via email, but it may not be until December.

oh thanks for posting this email..i did not get it.
i had called them around 15 oct and that time i was told they were reviewing applications.....so i guess wait and watch is the way to go

guys...
i got a reject from Emory for Family Practice yesterday...! they sent it via post.
i gues they have started sending out the rejects and hopefully soem calls for imgs now.keep checking your mail(post) box...coz that's how they'll contact u...
guess they wanna be different...

I got rejection from emory (psych), and told me they are only taking graduates from schools affeliated to LCME, it seems that mine is not.

Well guys, I have not applied to emory, but today when I went for my interview in anotherhospital, I met an img who has an interview from emory. I dont have much details about his credentials, he is gc holder with good scores.

why did everybody have such big hopes for emory? despite being touted as an IMG friendly institution , emory is a very difficult program to go into . it has great reputation and great teaching. It is also very malignant for FMGs.
