Hi everyone. Just took my NBME1 = 400... What score does that correlate to?I'm suppose to take my Step 1 exam on 1st of Dec. Should I go ahead with it or move it another week? Been studying for about 4.5 months now.I finished qBank 59%; 62%(incorrect). Qbook did once so far 61%. I failed on first attempt so I have to do well on this coming exam. The latest I can take the exam is the 8th of Dec (3weeks from now) if I decide to move my test.... HELP!

Hi DrMary according to correlation that would be more than 75 but less than 80 on the test. Remember its only a correlation, not necessaily 100% accurate. If i were you i would postpone test one more week, and during the first 2 weeks i would absolutely drill all of the weak subjects that NBME showed, i would read and memorize FA very well, and do as much quesions possible. Then about 1 week b4 dec.8th i would do NBME 2 and see if the score impoved. They say the average is 500. If you get a score around 500, i would go for the test. I am giving you the link of correlations that i found here. I wish you the best of lucks! http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/comments.php?id=2... G.

Thanks for answering my questions and your advice. I shall do what you said. Will post again here in 2 weeks what my NBME 2 score is... and we'll go from there...

Hi, GMOB, Will NBME show the "analysis of your performance" as in the Q bank? How do you know your weakness by doing NBME? Because I heard there is NO answer or Explanation for NBME. Thanks
