I've been in the USA with J-1 VISA(research scholar for 1 year,no salary, and this J-1VISA will expire in September 2006)since september 2005 and I want to be an internal medicine resident in 2007. Now I am waiting for step2cs result(I took it on oct 2005,also),the reasons for doing research are for good recommendation , having history of publication, and improvement of English language. 1.According to the expired date of my VISA is before the matching period,do you have any suggestions about my VISA next year? 2.I have to go back to my country to reapplication for new J-1,right? 3.Can I extend my VISA in the USA?How? 4.Are there any problems with next J-1 VISA that ECFMG or a university that I want to train?(I don't know by laws who is a sponser for J-1VISA for training internal medicine? and Can I have another J-1 from another institue. Now I'also have b1/b2 visa for 10 years too. Thnk you very much for replying .
