A 52-year-old man Amitji has had heel pain for 2 month. He runs approximately 25 Km weekly. The pain is most severe when he first stands up and walks after sitting or lying down. Palpation of the medial plantar surface of the heel increases the pain. He walks with a limp. Which of the following is the most likely cause of the pain?
