I got my score back today! I failed with a 181/74.

What do I need to do guys?

I'm gonna buy the Kaplan notes and register for the UW. Any other advices please?

I feel so suicidal. Don't know what's wrong w/ me!

Plz dont get upset............Start preparation ASAP
Rightly said ~Albert Einstein "It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer"

Read Kaplan and UW and If possible Kaplan Q bank..............then
Give NBME then decide........If you get a decent score then only take the real TEST......

All the best

Hi, take some days off & relax yourself with friends or family

Try to get motivation & follow the objectives

i think it´s very important to take some days off. Relax, have some fun, motivate yourself, create an "attack" plan, do this for several days and then you´ll be ready to start again. smiling face

Hi radasp, I am sorry that you failed this exam. I can imagine how terrible it seems right now. Please take time to feel sad too. Find someone who cares for you and pour out what you are feeling and why. How hard you studied, how much you hoped to score, how much this sets back your plans for the future etc. Works best for a woman, but I dont see why it cant work for a man. If you cant find someone that you can confide in, write it all down and read it a couple of times. Give yourself an official mourning period to feel sorry about this (a week maybe) and then plan on moving on with a vow that you will never get this get you down. Put this firmly behind and below you and move on with your focus on the goal.

Life is too precious and so often we take our blessings for granted and demand more and more from ourselves. Please take the time to count your blessings- your health, education, sanity even. You certainly have the potential to ace this exam as you came so close to passing. Think of that as a practice test, and work on getting the best score you can in your next attempt.

All the best!

Who wants to fail? Nobody esp. when you knew that you worked hard for it. Think of your failure as another challenge to be wiser later on in life. Read a lot of exam experience from this forum & you'll be surprised how someone's own experience would motivate your life. I seldom see someone here who did not work hard so yours will be paid off.. not this time but later.. just don't give up.

Just study hard budy. Neeed motivation? Let me tell you something, if you have Step1 passed with a good score (>85) on the first try, and if you will pass rest with good score without any failings you can still dream about residency. Life is brutal, and match very competetive this year.nod
