I would like to know if our year of graduation have any substantial effect in the final match and interview.

Yes It Does. Im No professional. But My bro has just finished going through the very exhausting process of applying to residency programs.

The fresher a graduate u are the more chances u have of finding a residency program. Most Residency Programs want Fresh Graduates. But this is not a MUST. I suppose the greatest & foremost priority goes to TEST RESULTS.

it has something to do, there are programs that have requirements: 2 years of graduation or 5 years, or 10 years or they donīt care the year. The advantage is that there are too maaaaany programs, so itīs not a problem at all.
