Choose best choice or choices : In the visual cortex ,responses of single neurones evoked by retinal stimuli: (1) may be maximal for a border oriented in a particular direction . (2) would reflect just the activity of rod pathways . (3) would occur only when stimuli appeat in a circumscribed area within the visual field . (4) are produced by activity originating in only one retina . answer is 1 & 3 ,please explain ? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------- The musculature of the cardinal (proximal) stomach : (1) relaxes during each swallow (2) contracts in a peristaltic manner in cordination with the caudal (distal) stomach during emptying of a meal . (3) becomes more distensible when CCK increases in blood . (4) exhibits contractions and relaxations that can not be altered by vagotomy . answer is 1 & 3 ,why 2 is false ? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------- Cortical evoked potentials : (1) represent summed action and synaptic potentials of cortical and subcortical neurons . (2) can be produced by electrical stimulation of the median nerve . (3) help monitor brain stem as well as cortical auditory function . (4) can be recorded in a comatosed patient . answer is all are true ,why 2 & 4 are correct Many thanks for your help
