Kaplan Qbank USMLE

Took CK on Oct. 18. Feeling very frustrated after exam. questions were totally different to any ones that I practised before. Tons of Qs started with SOB (~ 50). feeling even harder than UW. slept 4 hours, but no problem keeping alert during exam. I had a friend also taking CK at that day, after each section, we met together, drinking, eating or talking, and this relaxed us a lot.

prepared for about 6 months, read kaplan notes 7-10 times. finished UW in the last two months, average 66.1%. read UW qs carefully, 3 times for 1000 easy qs and more than 6 times for other 1000 HY qs, made some notes. everybody said that reading UW is enough, but in my case it is different. But UW is absultely a must and the best practising tool. kaplan notes probably cover 75% of all qs, UW compensates 15% more.

Tried NBME-1 3 weeks before exam, got 580, and then carefully read kaplan notes one more time and studied my weak topics. tried NBME-2 10 days before and wished to have a better score, but to my scared, only got 470, then NBME-3 9 days before, got 490 only. depressed!! but one reason I thought was that in 2 and 3, I tried to finish each section in a quicker way, within 50 min , so that I made a lot of stupid mistakes. A friend of mine finished qs very quickly, so I just wanted to try in the similar way, seems not working well, so each person should have his style to answer qs, and better reading the qs carefully.

GL to everybody!!

Hi the day of my exam, I felt exactly the same as you. I was really depressed since all questions or at least almost all looked quite different from all I had practiced before. I was really stressed for 4 weeks. I took my exam on the 19th oct (a day after yours) and got my results yesterday and I passed with 224/91. I guess at this time you must have received yours. Good luck.
