Hello BBB. I have a problem & would like your advice. I am an img ,currently based in California, looking for H1 visa. I have very good scores( 99 each step;step 3 taken last week) with an M.D Pediatrics from home-country but still, understandably, I have got interview calls from midwest & eastcoast only(barring one from L.A). My problem is that I am pregnant ( into my fourth month). So my duedate is in the second half of April. My husband can't join me if I move out of my current place b'coz of his visa issues. I now feel that it would be difficult for me to manage a baby alongside the residency. I was thinking that may be it is possible to join some programs in January ('07 in my case). If it is,can you tell me how to go about it? I mean do I ask the few programs that I'm interviewing at about this option? And supposedly, if I am offered a prematch but am not yet sure whether I would like to sign it ( considering I might get a place nearer to my current city), is it o.k to tell the programs that I would rank them high in the match but won't be able to sign the prematch? I mean, I don't want to sign a prematch anywhere in order to keep all my options open. Do you think that would be a wise step? Also, should I tell the programs that I'm expecting as I have heard that many interviewers don't like/ prefer expectant candidates? I know I have asked loads of question but currently am in a state of depression as to what I should do. Thanks in advance.
