i guess i'll have to flip through my medicine books, tonight and tommorrow, but i heard we should look at the faculty and see if they have any publications or anything. i'm finding that kind of hard, how do you talk about things like that without sounding like you are trying to kiss butt? i'm having a hard time finding info about the programs in general, can anyone share how they have prepared for the interview? my first interview is the day after tommorrow!!!

Hey Diahuq, usmleed... I just went for a couple of interviews.... I was as lost and nervous as you guys! I can make some suggestions .... check out the program's website. Dont be discouraged even if you dont find much on the website ...you will atleast find out basics like... whether its community based or university... the populations it caters to...is it research oriented ...the names of faculty....etc etc. On the interview day...Almost always, before you interview with faculty, the chief resident of some faculty member will give you a program overview. They will tell you what their program stands for and all the good points that they are proud of.You will find this overview very useful and full of information. you can use this info to ask good and intelligent Qs about the program when you interview with the faculty. Hope this helps......

nice answer chivasregal! but the knife cuts and hurts too, so I wouldnt want to be that. I think i'd go with the microwave oven coz thats the easiest most versatile appliance to use, and doesnt get dirty too! and it performs such miracles , so fast.

I would check their accreditation status, from the acgme, i posted the link, in the forum. You ask them about how they are full credited, when is the next review, what needs to happen, and what do thy expect. Ask them what would they do if they did not fill all positions. How does their financial situation look for the next couple of years. be careful, dont make it sound accusatory.
