I think the gluteal muscles are traditionally for "the patient stands on one leg and falls over, cannot keep center of gravity" etc... This question I believe refers to iliopsoas, so ventral rami L1-3 and femoral, so B?

Inf. gluteal nerve as it supplies Gluteus maximus which is the chief extensor of thigh and involved in Climbing stairs. Iliopsoas is the chief flexor whereas gl. medius and minimi are chief abductors and there injury causes positive tredelenberg's sign

I think the anwer is B. The femoral N. works to extend the leg, thus let you stand up.

the patient who can not rising from setting postion and has problem to climb on the stairs so my empression is that the defect should be on nerve common pernial never since this nerve is responsible to enrvet the gastrecanemous muscle and these muscles are responsible for rising and walking and other option is femoral never defect.
