hi guys,
I just took kaplan simulated cd exam in exact time and conditions...and i scored 57% .My exam is in 40 days...what should i do..i am so nervous...what is the correlation to teh real exam with this score....anybody scoring the same...plz advice...should i postpone?

There is no good strong correlation but what is said among my fellows is that your step1 score will be CD Score + 20 +/- 4 . I dont take responsibility for this correlation. Just something i knew so i told you. In my personal opinion it is accurate say 75% of the time .

Hi just finished kaplan sim exam...got 59% (same score I got in Qbank) Im suppose to take the exam Dec 13 (in 2 weeks)...should I go for it or reschedule to later this month? My eligibility period ends Dec 31. NBME1 = 400. Still have to do NBME 2 and 3. I will appreciate any comments and advices. Thanks

Dr mary,
if u are finished with ur reads and qbanks then u can re-read ur weak subjects.
u have 1 month to review ur material..i think u should take nbme 2,3 after 20 days..and lets if u score goood .. and go fr test IN END OF DEC.

reet, just took nbme2.i only got 420.what do i do now? My exam is on Dec 28. Should I postpone?

the only things u require to pass with a high score :
kaplan notes(and lectures if possible) read them carefully to understand concepts.2-3 times.
first aid 3-4 times.
qbank once in time read explanations for wrong answers. if you score above 60% overall means
you are sure to pass.
goljan lectures once after comleting your syllabus .
last 10 days only first aid.
surely you,ll pass.best of luck

yes and finally give nbme 20 days before the exam. it gives you the best correlation with your real score. if you pass it go for the real exam otherwise better to postpone.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I guess I will study my butt off this week and take nbme3 2days before my exam.If I still get low, I will extend my exam to mid-January. Will keep you up-dated. Thanks again!
