Hi all,

I just received a letter from ECFMG stating that ECFMG has receved my final medical diploma.

and they have sent it for Verification by appropriate official( medical school)

The status on the website still states """" Status: Medical education credentials received and verification is pending"""

What I want to ask is the following. Does that effect my ability to take exam. I have registered for an exam in december. rolling eyes

Tell me what can I do now. I dont live in the same country of my medical school. Should I contact the officials there and ask them to expediate the process.

Actually Ujaala its the normal process, and they willsend your diploma to confirm your ID from your school. No you are not suppose to be worried about that. In some cases, your college authority can make a delay to confirm your identity, and this can make little bit trouble for you. But at that time, what you would have to do is, call your college and ask then to send it ASAP, or you can ask any one who is in your country to ask them to send it.

its not a big deal. You will be fine.

Yes Ujaala, they will let you take the exam.I am petty sure you must have recieved your scheduling permit by now...and that is all you need to take the exam.If your college does not verify your credentials, it might delay your score report/results.... but by then they would have hopefully verified everything.Don't worry about it!Good luck!

Hi,

This was happening to me too , so I called the university and the verification was there , but they said I had to go there and mail it to the US . So the best thing you do is to call the university , talk to the office and see what is going on .

Good luck
