I saw ERAS updated my USMLE transcript and I called one of the programs I got interview from, the secretary told me I passed!!!! I studied for 5 days (2hrs each day) from UW and First Aid. Practised history and system wise examination on my spouse. Flew to test center the previous day, practised orally (3 cases) with one of the candidates who had just finished her exams, read first Aid and UW the previous day once. My exam: 1st case messed up, no time for counselling, patient notes bad writing. All other cases: forgot something to ask, something to do in the examination. Knocked the door, smiled and introduced myself, draped, counselling for all but one, complimented on smoking cessation and exercise I was very nervous for atleast 7 cases, i was actually hyperventilating in couple where I was running out of time, I poked one SP very hard while testing sensation, repeated painful manuvers, asked same question twice, one SP asked me repeat one question 2 times, called patient by wrong name in the telephone case throughout... In short i had all reason to think I must have failed- short time prep and mistakes... But i passed, so guys take it easy... Practice from first aid and UW, be calm and confident in the exam, be nice to the SP. Write PAMHUGSFOSS outside the door , that way you won't forget to ask. WRite down all relevant points on the sheet, you tend to forget them and its difficult to recollect while writing PN.
