hi!

i am new to the site..
i am from india... and will be appearing for usmle pretty soon

i have a color weakness...
i have deutranomaly... n i am very apprehensive about my carreer as a doc... especially in a country like US

so if anyone else visitin this site also has a color weakness....
please reply

does anyone here know of any colorblind physicians working in US..

does anyone here have any idea as to what kinda probs i may face as a doc.... n wot all specialisations suit me the best....

Yes, several residents that have come through the program have been colorblind. They both ended up with fellowships (and I still tease one about his sock color choices).

you have a good sense of humor bbb.

don´t worry falciparum. I have color blindness to green color. There isn´t any problem in the career or residency or in your daily life, no problem. Don´t worry about it. smiling face

except you wont be able to tell pseudomonas infected wound during your surgical residency! grin

. I know you are kidding but i want to clarify something. My color blindness is only for a specific tone of green (similiar to military green). Instead of seeing it green, i see it brown. That´s my only problem. smiling face
