hi Bravo-men, I'm happy that somebody read my message! I've been studyng for almost 1 year! I've used Lange's Medical physiology(quite heavy!!!) by Ganong, microbiology & Immunology, also BRS Pathology, Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Lippincott Illustrated Reviews - Pharmacology, Biochemistry, NMS behavioral sciences + HIgh-Yeld Biostatistics, NMS genetics, BRS Embriology and some others. Also did ~ 10 000 questions... I think I did some hard work but I'm still waiting for the results to come... Do you know how much it usually takes to get results?

Do you know how much it usually takes to get results? Sorry, I dont. Try the Oasis trick. There were some posts about this on the forum. Look for them. Was NMS Genetics an older edition? Cause I tried to buy a new one some time ago and they told me the book wont be reprintred. Did you chose NMS Behavioral Science over BRS BH or that was the best you could find? What questions were those 10.000?

My BRS Embriology is 1995 edition, Genetics - 1996, behavioral sciences - 1995 too! These were the best I could found! I actually found them in my med school, in the library! The other I bought from Istanbul, others got from friends... I forgot to mention First Aid for USMLE but it was the mainstem of my preparation. How about you? Where are you on the path to "successful residency"? I am almost 28 and graduated 2 years ago, but was delayed because I had to serve the army for 6 months...

It was amazing how many questions on my exam resembled those in the prep. tests! I did all 5 Board Simulator Books, also Lazo's NMS Review for USMLE, I did an Appleton & lange CD with almost 2,500 Q, some Kaplan Tests and some others too...

Well I guess it depends on the situation, but as far as my opinion is concerned it's better to start after graduation - you have more time, you don't have to bother with "curriculum" stuff, you can concentrate entirely on USMLE! But be careful not to loose too much time away from the "topic" (I lost almost an year after graduation) - return to active studying is hard... On the other hand USMLE is changing, you've probably heard about recent "restructuring" USMLE, a friend of mine told me about rumors about changing visa procedure to IMG's so no one nows what follows the next year
