Hi there everyone,
Its been a long time since I came on this forum. Like you all even I am struggling to keep my patience,this whole thing is consuming me. Hope we survive this ordeal! Wishing all of you GREAT LUCK!
Well I wanted to know if you have heard from all the NY hospitals? Since I applied I havent heard from any except 2 of em and I am not sure if that means a silent rejection or what? Please you guys let me know is there still hope of hearing from NY still?

i agree with you infact i heard only from one NY program from 9 applied there, don't know y they didn;t replied to me, even the below average program didn't replied......... don't know y

i have heard from 4 hosp in NY one being Albany, St Barnabas,NYmethodist and SUNY downstate. still there are many more i havent heard from.

I applied to almost all the hospitals and have heard from Maimonides and SUNY Syracuse both were rejections and it makes me wonder if they just threw my application in the trash or are they waiting for the Deans letter. Did anyone get an invite from SUNY downstate?

Why did you specifically ask about SUNY Downstate hospital? I have got an interview call from there.

I asked about the SUNY downstate coz I really like there program and was just wondering if they are waiting for the release of Deans letter or they have started sending invites.I havent heard from them so I was just wondering...

i havenīt recieved any interview nor rejection from NY, maybe they are waiting the Deanīs letter.  that means since tomorrow.

I applied to almost all IM programs in New York, 40 of them. Got interview from lincoln and staten island, no word from all the rest. Although I applied in early Sept, I only managed to submit my personal statement on 10/25. I hope the reason I don't hearing anything is because my file is far from complete. So far what programs have are only my step 1 score, one Lor, CAF, personal statement, transcript and photo. Still waiting for my other two Lor to be uploaded (so slow:nono . Hopefull step 2 CK score will be reported this week.
Well I will let you know if I hearing anything later. (Hopefully I do hear something.)

i applied about 30 programs in NY. got only 3 calls and 1 waiting list. start worrying. i applied very early in mid sept. all ready i mean transcript, certified 93/99/pass, LORs and everything. no more to submit. but i can't understand why it is so dry. may be because i need H1B

applied to23 programs in ny on 8 sep.got calls from staten island,westchester,suny stony brook,nassau med center,flushing med center.rejections from syracruse,mainomedes.no reply from other places

guys i think it's visa that they are worried about. my batchmates who are GC holders or US citizens, have no problems with NY hospitals.

im in same waters as chemmar.... cant say if its only Deans letter as many ppl i know got calls even without that. By the way what does it mean when a program downloads a deans letter? as last i checked everyone had not downloaded that but everything else was?

Well I called the programs in NY and almost all of them said that they are still sending invites for interviews and I should hear from them in a week or 2.So guys hang on there is still hope for us....GL

By the way was anyone able to find their application status on the phone cause all I got was that they are still reviewing applications and thats it,nobody even asked about my AAMC no.

Yeah I applied in IM around 20th Sept and till date 12 rejections and 4 interviews

Got my third interview from long island college hospital today. I found from other forums that NY hospitals are sending out invites within next 2 weeks. Let's hang in there.

what were your scores RIA??? I applied on September 29, 2005. Congratulations wombat. I want IM but since I repeated STEP 2 CK and my step 1 score is only 79, Its going to be tougher for me.
