Hi, bbb
Could you please fill this white spot in my matching process understanding.
That's about after-match scramble.
For example you've got one unfilled position at March,16. And also a lot of applications, faxes and phone calls from candidates, but you didn't interviewed anyone of them. How do you chose the right candidate for this position? Do you schedule the interview with some of them?
Or you just chose by the highest scores ?
Or some other criterias?
Thank you,
Bonny

Good morning Bonnie

The program that I am currently at hasn't had post match position in the 11 years that I have been working here (although you wouldn't know that from the telephone calls and faxes). Where I worked previously, we had position - we would accept faxed information, schedule interviews and hire a candidate. There is no reason that it has to be filled in the first hours after the match, but within a week or two is good.

Good morning,dear bbb!
I hope your coffee start working because I have one more question, I promise the last one ( for today:wink:
My friend applied to more than 100 programs in August with only step 1 score (more than 90) and was collecting only rejections until she passed step 2. Now she got some interview.
And my question is: Can she call to the programms from which she got rejections and ask them to reconsider her application? Because the reason for rejections was the absence of step 2 score. Or she need to reapply to these programs again but now with both scores?
Thank you, and have an easy working day!

Yes, she can ask them to reconsider her application. She shouldn't need to resubmit her application.

Thank you - coffee was good this morning - brought from Colombia from my Colombian resident connection....... :P

Oh, yes !
Columbian coffee is great! It's good to be residency programm director!
My favorite recipe is coffee which was slowly boiled on the hot sand with burned sugar and the miserable amount of cinnamon ( on the point of the knife). Highly recommended !
For PD it's probably the busiest time of the year. And I greatly appreciated
for your time and responses.
Sincerely,
Bonny
