What is an Ascertainment Bias?
Sample Distortion Bias

According to UW (expln as part of an ans)

Ascertmt bias is when there is a problem with the research protocol selected - so you control and prevent it by selecting strict protocols and guidelines for cases.

Is'nt sample bias the same as selection bias? (kaplan notes -pg 135 in mine)?
