why does the hydronium ion concentration of an aqueous solution decrease when the hydroxide ion concentration increase?

well...hydronium ion is a water molecule with an added hydrogen ion. When you add more OH- ions to the solution...the H+ ion on the hydronium ion is going to combine with the OH- to make water...so there...
