Is there a way to know your result has been mailed

I recently appeared for Step 3. What I want to know is that if there is any way to know that your Step 3 result has been mailed. In other words is there anything like the OASIS trick (ECFMG Step 1&2) or any where on the net which shows that your result has been mailed.

Cant seem to find anything of the sort. A helpful answer would be appreciated.

There is no trick like on OASIS, but if you go to www.nbme.org you can check your exam status. They will ask for your password and USMLE ID. Your USMLE ID and password are the same on that site as they are on the ECFMG website. You will only be able to see if your result has been mailed. Goodluck

Thanks a lot Melonhead for your tip. I guess the scores are mailed out every Wednesday. What would be great if you could tell me how soon the website gets updated. The ECFMG-OASIS account gets updated 1-2 days after every Wed, Thanks once again.

I sat for the exam on Oct 5-6. I checked the NBME website today, and my score has just been reported. I am now anxiously awaiting my results. Hopefully there will be good news here in a couple days. Good luck

Hey Dev,

Did you log in without using the dashes? I can't remember if I had to set something up, but when I sign in there it is identicle to the way I sign in on ECFMG. I am still waiting for my results. I really wish there was a way to tell like on OASIS. I live in Seattle, so I may not get my results until Saturday, or maybe even Monday. Until then it's like trying to get to sleep on Christmas Eve when you're a kid. Have you sat for the exam yet? What did you feel like afterwards? Good luck.

Hey All,

I got my result today. I PASSSED!!!! My score was reported exactly 4 weeks after my exam. Good luck to everyone, and hang in there.

I got a mediocre score of 204/84. It's still a pass, and after all my problems with Step 2 I feel somewhat redeemed. Good luck to you.

Congrats Melonhead. By the way the NBME website shows that my score just got reported. (three weeks since exam date). I am waiting anxious and hopeful as ever.
