for step-3 relied on swanson and washington manual
Usmle world is the best.
for ccs practiced all UW cases in the soft ware.
ignore whatever happens to patient ,just go on typing whatever you want to do.
most of the ccs would be similar to UW.

2 months 2 -3 hrs day. I took my step-2 in april so it was fresh in the head and helped.

Can u pls tell a bit more about CCS. And how similar was the MCQ content to step-2CK? Do you think UW + Qbook ll be enough?
And what's the approx' percentage of biostatistics & ethics in MCQs?

CCS - Practice on the cd repeatedly - practice how to enter all the required tests/drugs repeatedly.UW CCS are more than enough
MCQ similar to step-2 with more ethics - can't tell u a percentage but a lot.
hardly any statistics may be 1 or 2
i did not do qbook only UW.

congrats!!!its agr8 score. i gave my first day today. how did u feel after firts day. i am pretty low (in dumps). i feel it was very vague.  .is it normal to feel this way.

2nd day is much simpler than day1.less mcqs and ur ccs will fly.

if u want pre match by when should ur step-3 be ready?do programmes agree for pre match without step-3, need h-1.by when max can one sit for step-3?is feb too late?

i'm still awaiting my ECFMG certificate so can't apply yet. but tell me thru which state should one apply? and how long does it usually take for the processing of the application? suppose if i get the certificate in late-nov, will i be able to give the exam in december? need to plan accordingly....
any tips regarding preparation/ any thing to avoid wasting time on etc. would be useful...

everybody said step3 is weired, how u got 99!!!!!!!!bravo....
u said practice ccs in software that is exactly what i looking for. i bought ccs fr uw. but not in exam format & only in printable& later part non-printable version. that's I'm scare,.I'm poor in computer& my order r not in their program so i need to change my words. used mu time alot. so can u help me how to practice ccs cases in software form. Thanks

i know you need step-3 for h1.
i don't know if having step-3 in hand makes prematch more likely.
i think prematch depends on the program liking you and feeling confident that you'll clear step-3.
some programs clearly specify by what time you should have taken your step-3
if not mentioned by program,you need to clear step-3 before you apply for h-1 so you need to add visa processing time+result time before july 2006.
