Well I have been messed up for long time, disoriented and lost focus. I am all so determined now, and hopefully will stay focused and no disruptions. I have made a plan and fixed a date (in my mind) which is 22 Feb. It usually is how i begin so lets see this time. I cannot afford to go beyond so i will stay on the track.
I am done with Paeds, and qbook avg 76 % (not even near your lowest score Sobia) I need to improve this hmm..... Done Obs too and onto Gynae.
I will finish it all up by 8, then I will do NMS review for 2 days, then Step3 Qbank for the next 4-5 days. By 16th i would start my 3rd reading with Step3 Qbook and end it no later then 7 feb. I will give my Kaplan Cd on 8th and then probably NBME form1 on 10th. A short quick 4th read till 21 then. And then doomday on 22nd Feb.

hi guys.well seems things are finally speeding up here. .i finished surgery with around 90% in qbook.but when i did uworld i didnt feel all too good.in my second read i did step 3 qbank almost all of it.and qbook step 3 for paeds,surgery and obg.i particularly liked qbook step 3.really grilled yr concepts at times ..i just did half of psychi and then did the qbook tests and scored a 90%.and i dont have the patience to do the rest of it.so i,ll make a schedule for third read today.u,ve got me motivated ..
i plan on giving my exam in first week of march coz my eligibility period starts in march.now i got 2 months in hand and i have nms,step 2 qbank and blueprints qbook (dunno how good this is)left.i still feel i need to work more on medicine.i,m not too confidant on it yet.anywayz good luck to u kingsofke.keep up with yr schedule!

hi people..eid mubarak to all..well down to the third read.medicine as usual.done all except cardio..having a two day eid break..good luck to all....the usmle prep seems like an energizer battery ad.."it goes on and on and on......."

Eid Mubarak to you all. I am done with my second reading and as per schedule did NMS review. And am doing AL review for Paeds. Will take a break for the Eid offcourse. But then onto Step3 qbank, (how was your performance in Step 3 qbank sobia and qbook ,i heard its tough) All the best to you all.

well two days of eid flew by.time passes so fast when yr having a good time away from usmle books ..anywayz i had a percentage of around 75-80 percent on qbank3 but terrible at qbook 3 ..qbook3 is quite hard ..well gotta finish up cardio tomorrow then i,ll do all those question books.i hope i do ok on med this time in qbooks so that i get satisfied with it.hey lucky where r u lost???

Would you please tell me that you also have subscribed step3 Qbank for step2..IF not then what yrs qbank you do have..I have 2003 step3 qbank on cd..if i practise those it will be ok or i have to buy newer one..And also 2004 edition Qbook for step3 I have ..I just want to make sure from you guys before using those..Please give me the answer..

the qbook i have is 2004 edition .but the qbank is 2005 edition.i have both in book form.i really dont know how much of a difference there is between 2003 step3 qbank and the 2005 one..sorry

belated eid mubarak everyone. i was ill for a few days. missed u guys. havnt done much . finished the second reading and onto the third but i dont feel like studying the same books again.my test date is 23 feb . and i think i 'll freak out by then.
any suggestions sobia.

hi lucky!!u already kept yr test date.wow!i guess i,m the lazy person on this post.just planning a date and havent kept one yet.. .well i,ve combined peds and med in third read and its getting done faster..med takes the same time but peds gets done real soon.well lucky just do more qs when u get sick of reading the notes..u can never get bored of qs can u??
to usmleexam2005..we r pakistanis and in pak we get these book versions really easily.never had to really search for em.

i'm doing q now. have done three units of med. i like the idea of combining paeds and med.i think i'll throw in surgery too.
i had decided on this date quite a while ago .i think first of march will be fine for u. well ur doing so well that even tomorow will be fine for u.

hi guys.well i,ve been goin crazy these past two days doin medicine mcqs.well i finished qbook 2 with average of 86% and qbook 3 with average of 82%...its exhausting.i had to read the long qs almost twice to get a hang of them .i will have to work on this problem of mine as i wont have my sweet time on the exam.
anywayz i have some phobia of cardio.i,ve been delaying the revision of it since 3 days.i hope i can do it tomorrow so that i can move on..i,m starting to get the feeling of the exam drawing closer.as my schedule is getting messed up and turned upside down already..good luck to all of u.
hey lucky just keep the combination to med and peds.coz two is company but three is a crowd

I started with my 3rd reading. Just did 4 units of step3 qbank. I found it very useful so hopefully i will squeeze it in this reading. I am just finishing surgery, will do step2 qbook test for it tomorrow.
Sobia you are doing great. Why havent you taken a date yet.You are the only one who seems really prepared for the test. what are your plans for NBME.

well i just sent my application and will take a date once my orange permit arrives.the centre in dubai is really empty so no worries of having a problem with dates.secondly i,m taking nbme after this third read.finished with the two giants med and peds.the three little subjects r left..i,m gonna do complete step 3 qbook in this read as well .i,ve already done step 3 qbank.lastly i,m a bit scared to take the test .

hello people!just finished q session for peads...so now dont know what to start..hmmmm....maybe surgery.have to finish third read by 31st.plus also do nms and A&L.lots to do ..good luck to u all.

hi , i just received the mail that my eligibility period will start from march 1. because my appplication took time to process. i am so very upset. i had wanted to get it over with on the 23 feb and now i'll have to wait till march. how frustrating!

sorry to know that yr eligibility period got kicked back to march coz of the rush in ecfmg these days..oh well now i wont be the only one giving exam in march..just finished surgery and gonna start obg tomorrow..hey guys just a quick q..i recently applied for step 2 ck and csa .i have gotten confirmation for ck aplication but not for csa application.secondly i just sent one certification of identification form which ecfmg has received.is there anything else that i need to send or is this all happening due to delay in ecfmg these days???my credentials have been verified long back.

i took a day off today. went to visit friends and relatives.had fun and didnt think of the exam at all.it was so relaxing. back to the grind from tomorrow. sobia when will u take the test. i will take it on 1 march inshallah. why r u taking the nbme so early.
king how have u been? its been a long time since u posted.
i'm dreading the thought of going thru the whole syllabus again. but then reading ur posts does motivate me , at least i'm not alone.est of luck both of u.

hi guys.another day wasted..i,m getting so easily distracted these days.maybe its coz i,m going to apply for usa visa in 2 weeks..the state of uncertainity is so distracting plus i,m getting bored of the same routine every day.gotta fine tune things soon if i wanna give this exam well for which i studied so hard.
