Ok done with Nephrology (got 82% in UW in genitourinary, ) Would do UW Electrolytes section tomorrow and then Pulmonology.

Man, Acid base Q's are really tough, good thing is that a lot to learn. Got 77% . On to pulmonology now.

Done with my Pulmonolgy, did fine ;got 82% in UW. Finally onto Neurology . (bytheway I didnt listen to asher for Pulmo. ,just couldnt)

kingsofke what is kaplan 3 which u r doing? is it the kaplan lecture notes for step 3 or the videos.
since u r doing the kap videos i have a q. do u intend to listen to all the subjects or just selected?i would really appreciate an answer. thanks

Eid Mubarak to you too. yes they are step 3 kaplan lecture notes (not doing video yet). It has cases with discussions and has exactly the same syllabus as step2. No i am not listening to every video lecture , i do the ones i like. I skipped surgery and asher kornbluth lectures in Internal med (except rheumatology i did with him) .

king where can i get step 3 notes from? and what r the clincal cases which u do after each unit. r they the lecture notes or something else. also what is ohcm,
the reason i m bothering u with these q's is that the vid r really slowing me down but they r useful too, am done withe obs gynae and most of int med and wanted to know whether i should listen to the rest too?

Yes the cases i say are the step 3 lecture notes. I dont know where you are from but i am from Pakistan. I am not doing OHCM anymore and dont recommend it to anyone (its Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine) Yes videos do slow you down but they are helpful. I havent been through any other then Surgery and internal med. (and dont do surgery).
I did Neurology from step2 and then listened to jacob on dvd. Would do cases tomorrow and then UW.

hi everyone,well done with half of paeds till infectious diseases.whew!!well paeds got real boring in the middle with the poisoning chapter .but now i guess i,m back on track and i,m gonna start allergies chapter.well paeds aint given chapterwise in uw.so gonna do it in the end.the paeds lectures aint too great either.the only thing good is the pics of the cases which they show plus it keeps me awake.

Well wasted one whole day. Bought a new PC so i dont that mind that much  . Anyways done with neurology, actually i found it quite easy cause i have a good grip on neurosciences in step1. (got 88% in UW). I am starting derma now. I would do it from FA and surgery kaplan notes and then lecture and UW.

Finally done with IM. Ending it with Derma (UW 76%). FA was really good as i heard of it. Will start Paeds tomorrow.

I did the first three chapters of Paeds from Kaplan notes. And then listened to there lectures which i found very helpful. And then i did Pretest newborn test. (So thats my line up for the paeds i mean Kaplan notes plus lectures and Pretest. And after finishing i would do paeds cases from Step3 and then AL paeds probably and definitely UW.)

Didnt posted yesterday cause i did to little to write it here. Paeds is not difficult it just that i cant get into a flow for it. Anyway i am halfway through the lecture notes and videos.

hello people,
i started gyn.and after 6 hrs of kaplan lectures and just covered 20 pages.i thought the thin book wud mean i would finish this soon.but i guess this is gonna take some time.. well one plus point is that it is easy....

I am now quite sure that Paeds is jinxed. Wasted yet another whole day. and am still right there in the middle of paeds. Hey lucky if you dont mind listening the book over again by pino you would find excellent pictures to see. So if you can go slow do the lectures well i am. Hey Sobia i have heard that one should listen to gynae obs at 1.5 times the speed .

Finally a good productive day . I am into systmes in Paeds (done pulm. , Cardio. , GI )
I am not listening to lectures anymore. Well the topics covered in these systems are the ones i am quite familiar with. so just kaplan notes and pretest now on. I might listen to lecture of any chapter i found unfamiliar.

yes i agree the lectures r quite good in gynae..but a bit too long.anywayz almost done with gynae and have a bad backache from all those lectures..good luck everyone

i agree with nosha. gynae obs is very good. i didnt read the notes.
king, what im doing is that i read some of the chapters and do videos of some others. what i read i dont repeat on the videos. dont have the stamina for it. did resp today ,that is listened to video and did notes. plan to do cvs tomorow,i think it will take one whole day.pino is really boring. makes me hate paeds all the more.

I am done with lecture notes for Paeds , didnt listened to last 5-6 lectures (lost the patience too ). Still 3 tests left in pretest. I will finish it up tomorrow and then i would go through step3 cases for Paeds and i do want to finish it all up with doing AL review and then UW but it seems like a lot of work to do. Lets see.

Not doing AL review for paeds now. Did step3 cases today. And then started with UW . but just did 2 blocks , might have done more if not for miss earth 2005 competition . Anyways would finish it tomorrow hopefully and then off to gynae. & obs.

hi,i,m done with gynae and first 4 chps of obs.a lazy day today as it was weekend here.hopefully gonna finish the rest 60 pages in 2 days and i,m gonna do pretest this time along with uw.good luck to all
