woman....gives birth to a normal weight baby.....it said that there were 3 cats in the home and the question asked why did the newbornhave conjuctivitis.....chlamydia wasnt there.....so can i fetus be born normal when exposed to toxo.....b/c ..i chose toxo......if not toxo..what else can cause the child to have conj..of the eyes ...it must be an organism....and there was no anencephaly..or any other complications

he wasnt exactly born normal if he had conjunctivitis. I would've picked toxo. also. I'm sure you rocked your test!

when a pregnant lady is around cats, you should always think of congenital toxoplasmosis Toxoplasmosis is a ToRCH organism, and it crosses the placenta. I'm not sure if congenital toxo causes conjunctivitis, but it can cause chorioretinitis which leads to visual problems in the second or third decade of life.
