hello,i am trying to get hold of a research postion which also gives a student visa.can anyone please help me out and tell me how and where to apply for it.any help would be appreciated. thank you

to be honest I had not much luck with my half hearted attempts to get a research position in US. I have visited different universities websites and looked for the specific departments websites. It gives you a rough idea that what kind of research work in going on in that particular department. Next step is to try to contact the supervisors and show your interest. The problem which I got every time was funding. Most of the places have research ideas/projects but limited funding. If you are happy to work with no salary, this might help. But still the project funding is required. Where funding is available, department prefer their own residents and then medical students etc and you are the last priority. Hope this was helpful.
