how easy or how difficult is it to get a gen surgery residency...for an indian med grad....
what is the criteria of selection.....

from what i have heard, surgery residencies are generally not given to IMGs who dont have a greencard or a citizenship. But there's no stringent adherence to this. Most people dont even apply to these, after getting dissauded by people, which may be one of the reasons why u dont see many IMGs there.
All i wd say is that, if u have enough competitive scores and some clinical experience, it wd work out.
