I'm embarassed to post this question here, but here it goes anyways........
is it a bad idea to take a handbag made of raxine instead of leather? someone told me raxine can become hard as a box in winter!

Hi usmleed,
I heard it is better to take a leather porfolio and no handbags or purses.U can get good ones in Office Depot for 30 to 40 bucks.See that there is place for ur credit cards ,cell phone and stuff.Hope this helps u

I had a response typed, but deleted it because I didn't want to be a smart ass.
I wouldn't notice if a candidate carried a handbag or backpack.
 I've never heard of raxine - is it nice? Do I need to look into int? Can I afford it? After all, I work...................................

do we get a place/locker to keep our luggage[ usually it would ba small bag] while going for interviews at a hospital coz we would b checking out of hotel before we go for interview..pls let us know..thanx

u can keep ur luggage at hotel store room after checking out in the morning.U need to talk at frontdesk at the time of check out.(most of the hotels have this provision) And when u r done with ur interview u can take frm there.

Different hospitals will have different things set up. I have a locker room that candidates can leave their bags in. I remember my first interview season (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when), my co-worker scared me with stories of applicants moving into the department.
Then I learned that they had to bring their bags because they checked out of the hospital.

so i guess either i can ask hotel frontdesk or take luggage with me if hotel is too far from hospital thinkin hospital would provide some kinda locker..thanx

Most programs would have some kind of space available.... Check with them and ask.

u can afford raxine anyday!!!!!!!
leather is always better, but cant seem to find anything small and professional and TO MY LIKING in leather. Thats wierd. probably I am too
