I took my the CK about 3 weeks ago and attempted to register again for the same step today and it was allowing me to reregister while about a week ago it was not. Can anyone tell me is this an indicator that I failed or is there still hope that I passed. Should i wait for the actual score in the mail?

Thank you very much to who ever replies

i have been there.....so i know how that feels.............look up on oasis where it says if ur score is reported...........u know it should say the date u took the exam and the date they reported ur score........if they didn't update that then it means they don't have ur score yet........in that case it doesn't matter if u can register or not.

if u still have doubts call ecfmg and just ask if ur score has been reported.

hope this helps, and best of luck to u.

Thanks Maria. Unfortunately, I have no luck. The score report date was posted on oasis. I guess I have no choice but to reregister and hit the books. Although this just kills all my interview opportunities. What does everyone think? Should I cancel the interviews I have so far and wait to take CK again and hope to scramble or should I go to the interviews and let them know I failed the CK and am planning to take it again hopefully by January (that is go through the match).

I appreciate everyones advice. Once again thanks.

Sorry to hear it. I really don't know the answer to your question about the interviews but I would go to studentdoctor.com, go to the graduate medical forums and then the top board is for general residency issues and I am sure that if you post the question there, you will get some good feedback. It may already be a question in a thread.

I would guess that it depends on the rest of your application as to how much it matters to the program. But I don't really know.

Sorry to hear it, study hard!
